2013 Artemsinin Conference Field Visit

Artemisia annua planatation managed by Botanical Extracts

Around 40 delegates from the Artemisinin Conference made the ca. two hour trip north of Nairobi to visit a large estate (Marula farm) near Naivasha, where Artemisia is cultivated by Elysian Life Sciences and managed by Botanical Extracts. During the visit, the visitors were taken around the plantation by company representatives and were able to view the local workers in action; recently planted Artemisia; and also Artemisia being harvested.
